Weimaraner Rescue

Tarheel Weimaraner Rescue has a new website: http://www.tarheelweimrescue.org/.

Rescue dogs are dogs that have been displaced, for a variety of reasons, from their home. As the Weimaraner breed becomes more popular, more dogs are bred by people unwilling or unable to ensure that the dog is placed in an appropriate home for its entire lifetime. Weimaraners may end up in rescue after a divorce, a death, or even a move. Many Weimaraners are in rescue because their owners did not anticipate the amount of attention, exercise, and training that a Weimaraner requires. Whatever the reasons, there are lot of Weimaraners of all ages in need of a new home.
